My first entry to Runway inspired challenge...

Hello everybody,

I have been silently following Runway inspired challenge for some time.. It's just awesome. Its so inspiring that every time I think of participating in it..But I think being relatively new in paper crafting it was lack of confidence which made procrastinate every time.. This time I took the plunge and made a card :)

Well I selected following picture as my inspiration image
and I came up with this card..

I have incorporated almost every element of the inspiration image into the card and I have tried to keep the placement of elements also same as in inspiration picture.
First of all I stuck down a red bubble border from lawn fawn  inspired from red carpet. Then I did some stamping in versamark in the upper left corner and brushed some gold perfect pearl over it giving the hint of oscar statuette.
Next in the inspiration image was Chris wearing black suit so I though of keeping card's left portion relatively more black by leaving a lot of empty black space. And to give this part a masculine look as well as showing his white shirt I white embossed that masculine pattern from Technique Tuesday Dad rocks  stamp set.
Shape of Anna's dress has been depicted by spellbinders feather die cuts. I have used white glitter paper for feathers but I could not capture it.. I think its time to invest in a better camera now :P
and then I stamped a border from mama elephant modern borders in versamark and brushed it with white perfect pearl to bring out the background of inspiration image. I know its not a close match but I had this only in my supplies which was matching closest..:)
And Finally I stamped sentiment from winnie and walter the big,the bold and you. That completes my card.
Entering this to Runway inspire challenge # 79
Hope you like it.

Good luck card with bokeh background

Hello everybody,
I know I am posting after a quite long time.will try to be regular now onwards..(finger crossed) So today I am sharing a shaker card with bokeh background..
I had seen a seen a video on wplus9 youtube channel where the wonderful artist Dawn shows how to create bokeh effect easily. This video  is really very interesting as well as impressing so thought of giving it a try.. Instead of water coloring the background I took pink card base and then sponged pink ink through handmade stencil as Dawn has shown. (I die cut two different circles out of an acetate sheet :) )  and then used same stencil to sponge colorbox  white pigment ink.and yayy!! a beautiful background was done.. (Atleast I think its beautiful). Then I proceeded with shaker part.
First I die cut this goodluck die  out of this golden card stock and adhered it to acetate. Then I put some golden and pink sequins on cardbase and mounted the acetate with foam tape.to give it finishing touch I glued two stripes of golden card stock. That completed my card.

Thank you for stopping by.. Hope you like it.
